What is a managed offshore team?
A managed offshore team is a group of full-time professionals that The Remote Staff hires, employs, pays and manages for you. You agree the goals, the volume and the standards. We run the team day to day, so the work gets done without you supervising each person.
How a fully managed team works
- You set the outcomes. Tell us what the team should deliver: orders processed, tickets closed, listings live, campaigns launched or leads followed up.
- We build the team. We send pre-vetted profiles, you interview them for free, and the team is usually live in about two weeks.
- A team lead runs the day. They assign tasks, set priorities, train new starters and keep work moving.
- QA and performance are built in. Work is checked before it reaches you, and performance is tracked and managed by us.
- You get daily reports. Your account manager sends clear daily updates, so you review results instead of chasing people.
- Leave is covered. When someone is sick or on holiday, we arrange cover so output keeps flowing.
Everyone on the team is employed by The Remote Staff and works only for you. Payroll, HR, compliance, benefits, laptops, software licences, IT setup on your tools, and power and internet backup are all included in one monthly invoice.
Who it suits
Managed staffing services make the most sense when you need a team, not just a person, and you don't have the time or a manager to run it. Think of an e-commerce brand that needs catalog, order and support staff, an agency handing off production work, or a growing business that wants a sales or support desk without hiring a supervisor first. Teams can start small and grow: one client team grew from 3 to 23 people.
When not to choose it
If you want to direct each person yourself, set their tasks every morning and treat them as part of your in-house team, a managed layer is something you don't need. In that case dedicated offshore staff is the better fit. If you are planning a large team and want full control of your own branded workspace, look at your own offshore office instead.
Managed services vs staff augmentation
Staff augmentation adds people to your team, and you manage them. Managed services hand over the running of the work as well. With a managed offshore team, outsourced team management is part of the service: the team lead, QA, reporting and performance reviews. You stay in charge of direction and results, and you can cancel monthly.
