Your data, handled with care.
This policy explains what information The Remote Staff collects when you use our website or contact us, how we use it, and the rights and choices you have. We keep it plain, and we only collect what we need to help you build the right team.
The Remote Staff ("The Remote Staff", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit theremotestaff.com or get in touch with us, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices and rights you have over it. We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and build the right offshore team for you — nothing more.
01 Who we are
The Remote Staff is an offshore staffing company that builds and manages dedicated remote teams from India for businesses across the UAE, USA, UK, Canada and Australia. We operate from managed offices in Dubai, Delhi and Canada. For any question about this policy or your data, you can reach us at info@theremotestaff.com.
For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, The Remote Staff is the data controller of the personal information described below.
02 Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us and a limited amount of technical data that helps the website work and improve. Specifically:
Information you provide directly
- Contact & enquiry details — your name, work email, phone number and the message or requirements you send through our contact form, quote requests or lead-capture forms.
- Recruitment briefs — the roles, skills, team size or budget details you share so we can scope a team for you.
- Newsletter sign-ups — the email address you submit to receive our insights and updates.
- Correspondence — any information you include when you email, call or message us on WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, referring page and time spent, gathered through cookies and analytics tools.
- Cookie identifiers — small files that remember your preferences and let us measure traffic (see Cookies & analytics).
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health data) through the website forms.
03 How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and discuss building a team for you;
- set up, employ, payroll and manage the offshore staff you engage with us;
- send you the insights, updates or newsletters you asked for;
- operate, secure, maintain and improve the website and our services;
- keep records for accounting, contractual and legal-compliance purposes; and
- detect and prevent fraud, spam or misuse of the website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you.
04 Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent (for example, when you opt in to our newsletter); the performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering one; our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, provided these do not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time — see Your rights & choices.
07 International data transfers
Because we operate across the UAE, India and Canada and serve clients in several countries, your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Wherever data is processed, we apply this policy and put appropriate safeguards in place — such as contractual protections with our providers — so that your information receives a consistent level of protection.
08 How long we keep your data
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then to meet legal, tax, accounting or contractual requirements. Enquiry and marketing data is kept while your relationship or interest with us is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; client and employment records are kept for the periods required by applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
09 How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10 Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your information, where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it; and
- request a copy of your information in a portable format.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each message. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@theremotestaff.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
11 Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
